“When your education limits your Imagination, its called indoctrination.”
Let’s rephrase such statement: When your Imagination limits your Education, it’s called Indoctrination. Yes, exactly what I’m looking for. The White Folks got us. Let’s give them kudos to them for our destruction mentally. No hate but the truth. They have sat with “judgment” at the dinner table. Slavery is the Worst thing that has ever happened to black Folks. Hold that thought there and Let me take you back to Africa. Which blacks parents doesn’t love Education and enforce it on their Children? My dad is that guy.
By the Way, when I mean Education, I’m talking about “Formal Education”. The White Man theory. Black Folks approves it but I still reject it. Can I say Majority of Students primary reason they go to School is to socialize? I am that guy, an average student who never liked school. Matter of Fact, I hate school. As a Child growing
up, I was a rebel who always wishes teachers should get sick so I don’t have to be silent, focus, disciplined, pretentious intelligence and Angry for 9 hrs. This was my Life as a Young boy in Nigeria.
I see why they say Ignorance is bliss. I later realize my Teachers don’t know any better. Whatever the White Man philosophies and theory, we accept them without any prove. A classroom with 20 students, each having different dreams, goals, personalities, attributes, gifts and Skills learning the same course is Educational Mal-practice. This is the beginning stage of suicide and the era of indoctrination. Again, the White Folks got us real good. My dad never played with Formal Education. He believes that it’s the Only Pathway to success. Ask the blacks, especially those from Africa.
I could remember the Very First day my dad came to Nigeria from the States in the late 1990’s or early 2000’s, little do I know that it will be the Most Embarrassing moment of my Life. I’ll tell you why. That Very night, I was flogged for my academic notes been incomplete, I believe the Very next morning at School, I was stripped off my clothes from head to bottom with only my pants. Hear me now, pants not boxers. I had to stand in front my juniors class, including the Females for a while each from one level to another all the way to my senior. Do you know how embarrassing this is!!! All in the name of Education. That is not a good Spirit. “The War has just begun”.
Months or Few Years. Later, My Mother hired a Lesson teacher from me and my sis. It felt like my last day on earth. It was a devastating Moment. You Could Imagine 8-9 hrs. of torture and Oppression at school, then coming home to another one. I just experienced what my ancestors went through in terms of Slavery after they were caught attempting to escape. I had a master plan with boldness just like Harriet Tubman.
Every time I see the lesson teacher coming afar, I and my sister will close the curtain, balcony door and lock the door as a sign that no one is home. When approaching the door, he will knock for several minutes; scream our names but no response. I and my Sister were Committed and devoted to take this man out; in a sense, to give up. I don’t care how much mom paid this Man for extra lessons.
I was protecting my freedom not Education. Let me ask the World a Question. Do you think George Washington was fighting the British to build up schools or for freedom? We got successful to a degree then were cast down after we were caught. All thanks to my mom. You know what happen after. Beating of our lives to reset our Destiny. Lol.
